Cleanliness and Parking Lot in Traditional Market Improved

The city administration continues to revitalize traditional market to be more viable and competitive. In addition to improving the cleanliness, the government also plans to build a parking lot in some traditional markets.

Parking lot will be built around the market, including access road fro mass transportation. So the buyer do not need to bring their own vehicle

"Parking lot will be built around the market, including access road fro mass transportation. So the buyer do not need to bring their own vehicle," expressed Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, in ex-Hias Rias Market Building, Jl Cikini Raya, Menteng, Monday (8/22).

He disclosed, by doing so, parking lot management will be taken over to the city administration, including other parking lots that have been operated.

15 Markets Parking Lot Needs Improvement

Thereby, next year, the parking lot that has been operated will be managed by private party. Additionally, parking handover also aims to minimize leakage of city revenue from parking sector.

"That's why we should control all. We control first and then manage," he uttered.

Besides that, cleanliness in traditional market would also be improved. For minimizing garbage, some markets would have garbage management place.

"If the garbage is huge, we will make waste management there. It will be tested first in Kramat Jati," he closed.
